Prices and Policies
Dear Parents and Dancers,
We are very excited that you have chosen to be a part of Tracy Academy of Dances’ 2022-2023 dance season. Classes will begin Monday, October 3rd, and will go through May of 2023. Listed below are the prices and policies, please read carefully and refer to this page as the year goes on.
**New this year: we will only have one recital this year in the Spring, due to Miss Breanna choreographing the Nutcracker. She will send out details on how to attend this amazing performance opportunity!
Prices
Tuition is divided into 8 equal payments throughout the year (October through May). October tuition and the insurance fee are due October 3rd. Tuition every month after is due the first Friday of each month, preferably through an online payment or a check turned into the check safety box in the waiting area.
Pricing Scale
1 class/week --- $45/month
2 classes/week --- $65/month
3 classes/week --- $85/month
4 classes/week - UNLIMITED --- $105/month
Costumes

The first half of costumes will be due October 10th and the second half of costumes will be due October 24th.

Dancers will be measured the first week of class for their costumes.

Costumes are used for the Spring Recital..

Each class will need one costume for the entire year. Example: if your dancer is in two classes they will need two costumes.

Costume fees do not cover the expense of shoes and tights. Check the recital tights and shoes tab for the list. Also, a reminder that you won't need the official recital tights until the spring recital.

For costume orders placed after the studio order has been submitted there may be an additional fee, or if the costume is completely out of stock, a similar costume will be ordered.
Costumes = two equal payments of $40 (per class)
Insurance Fee and Liability Waiver

There is a one time liability insurance fee of $20.

There is a liability waiver that will be e-mailed out prior to classes starting, and must be printed and signed by the first class. There will also be an additional COVID 19 waiver added this year.
Registration

Parents/dancers can register for classes at tracyacademyofdance.com.

Only register for classes if your dancer intends on taking the classes.

Make sure to remember your username and password when you create an account.

When you register your dancer, please register for classes according to your dancers age as of September 1st. Contact us at tracyacademyofdance@outlook.com to register for a class if it is outside of your dancers age. We will evaluate the situation and decide if that class is possible for your dancer.

Teachers have authority to adjust any classes and leveling as needed.
Attendance

Please do your best to make sure your child is attending class as much as possible.

E-mail the office at tracyacademyofdance@outlook.com if your child is sick and unable to attend class.

If your dancer is absent, there will be no refund on tuition.

Teachers are not required to make up classes when your dancer is absent.

Dancers will be charged the full month of tuition regardless of when they drop out within the month.

The office must be notified as soon as a student drops out.
Class Rules
-
Be on time for classes.
-
No running around before classes start or in between classes.
-
Belongings must be secured in a dance bag and names must be in all shoes.
-
Stealing and bullying will not be tolerated.
-
Waiting areas must be kept clean.
-
Only water is allowed in the studios.
-
Food/snacks must be eaten on the designated picnic tables.
-
All preschoolers and younger dancers must be potty trained.
-
No parents are allowed in the class rooms, except for set parent visitations.
-
No street shoes in the studios, proper dance shoes are a must.
Dress Code
-
A leotard and tights are worn for technique class, pointe class, preschool class, ballet/tap class and ballet/jazz/tap class. Colors do not matter for practice. Also, athletic leggings may be substituted for practice tights.

Tight athletic tank tops and leggings can be worn for all other classes.

Dance skirts can be worn for any classes but are not required.

For tumbling classes bare feet are a must, if your dancer is wearing tights please make sure that they can transition into bare feet (many parents purchase transitional tights).

You can get most of your dance wear online at dancewearsolutions.com, discountdance.com, amazon.com and many other sources.

Hair must be pulled back and off the face for all classes.

We are strong believers in "look good, feel good, do good," your dancers will dance their best if they feel good about what they are wearing. Don't send them to dance with a baggy t-shirt and sweat pants on!
Recital

There is one recital in the spring.
-
There is a mandatory dress rehearsal before each recital.
-
Dancers need to be ready in hair, makeup and costume for both dress rehearsal and recital.

Pictures will be taken at dress rehearsal (the day before recital).

The schedule for dress rehearsal and recital will be posted one week or sooner prior to these events.

Other

Please be on time to pick up your dancer.

For snow days an email will be sent out. We will try out best to make up as many snow days as we can.

Payments do not go through individual teachers. You can pay through your online account or the check drop box.

Cornering a teacher in the studio or in-between classes will not be accepted. Appointments with teachers must be set up in advance if necessary.

Miss Alyssa and Miss Breanna have the right to add and adjust any policies as needed.
